Job Description
The Water Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects, providing engineering support, coordinating project teams, engaging with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations to deliver high-quality water solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead wastewater and drinking water projects from planning through operations.
- Provide project management and engineering support for water infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including junior and mid-level staff, and with senior technical and organizational leadership.
- Engage with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand and support their needs.
- Evaluate, plan, design, and oversee construction of water infrastructure systems.
- Ensure project compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Lead the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
- Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems.
- Ability to manage project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure.
- Experience engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs.
- Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems (preferred).
- Ability to lead the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local and federal regulations relevant to water and wastewater projects.
- Ability to support marketing and proposal efforts.
- Proven experience providing project management and engineering support on wastewater and drinking water projects.
- Experience collaborating with a team of junior and mid-level staff, as well as working with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials.
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment in Rye Brook, NY, with travel of 10-20% to clients within the Mid-Atlantic Region and locally within Westchester County, NY.
- Educational background in engineering or related field (implied, as the role involves engineering support).
