Job Description

The Water Project Manager oversees the planning, design, construction, and operation of wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects, managing project teams and engaging with clients to deliver high-quality water solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee wastewater and drinking water projects from planning through operations.
  • Provide project management and engineering support for water infrastructure projects.
  • Lead and collaborate with project teams including junior and mid-level staff.
  • Engage with client stakeholders to understand and support their needs.
  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support construction of water infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure project compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and systems.
  • Ability to manage project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure.
  • Experience engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, distribution, and collection systems.
  • Ability to lead the delivery of multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with local and federal regulations related to water infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to support marketing and proposal efforts.
  • Proficiency in providing project management and engineering support on wastewater and drinking water projects.
  • Experience working with and directing a team of junior and mid-level staff while collaborating with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership.
  • Possession of a relevant engineering degree (implied by the need for engineering support and project management in water infrastructure).
