Job Description
The Wastewater Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of multiple water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance and efficient plant performance, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Operate treatment plant equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues at treatment facilities
- Follow directives from the Project Manager and Chief Operator to maintain plant performance
- Support safety protocols and contribute to safety initiatives at treatment sites
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Water Wastewater Operator certification at the C level or higher.
- Experience participating in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, with a demonstrated ability to operate and maintain treatment plant equipment and processes.
- Ability to work outdoors and protect water resources, with a willingness to perform physical tasks associated with treatment plant operations.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation, with compensation of at least 2 hours minimum paid for each call out received, and a weekly incentive of 200 for being on call.
- Ability to participate in and support safety programs, with adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Willingness to pursue and maintain industry licenses and certifications, with employer reimbursement for earning, upgrading, and keeping licenses and certifications within the industry.
- Ability to work as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator in the operation and maintenance of multiple treatment facilities.
- Ability to perform work that may include physical demands such as lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States, with no mention of specific educational requirements, but implying the need for relevant industry certification and experience.
