Job Description
The Wastewater Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of multiple water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance and efficient plant performance, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Operate treatment plant equipment to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Assist in monitoring and controlling treatment processes to maintain water quality
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of treatment systems
- Support in maintaining accurate operational records and reports
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Wastewater Water Treatment Operator - B Certification.
- Participation in the daily operations and maintenance of 3 Water Treatment Facilities and 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
- Ability to work outdoors and protect water resources.
- Willingness to be on-call on a rotation schedule, with compensation of 200 for the week on call and a minimum of 2 hours paid for each call out received.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with operations and maintenance of treatment facilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Experience or knowledge in water and wastewater treatment plant operations (implied by the need for certification and participation in plant operations).
