Job Description
The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring efficient plant performance and compliance with regulations, while supporting environmental protection efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility
- Perform routine maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment
- Monitor and control treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulations
- Collect and analyze water samples for quality testing
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities and laboratory data
- Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing solutions
Requirements
- Possess a valid wastewater treatment operator certification or license as required by the state of Florida.
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility as directed by the Project Manager.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions to protect water resources.
- Be able to perform physical tasks related to operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team in a supportive and empowering environment.
- Be willing to work in a role that involves routine operational activities and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
