The Wastewater Senior Technical Manager leads and supports municipal wastewater engineering projects, overseeing study, planning, design, and construction phases, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with communities to solve complex water and environmental challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support engineering on municipal wastewater projects from concept through construction and start-up phases.
Manage and grow the South Region Wastewater Team and multi-discipline project teams.
Oversee technical study, planning, and design of wastewater systems, including master planning, treatment, and collection/distribution.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and support marketing and proposal efforts.
Requirements
The candidate must be a Senior Technical Manager with strong experience in study, planning, and design of wastewater systems, including familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, treatment, and collection distribution in water or wastewater systems.
The candidate must have experience leading and supporting engineering on municipal wastewater projects.
The candidate must be familiar with local regulators relevant to wastewater projects.
The candidate must have the ability to lead and grow the South Region Wastewater Team and multi-discipline project teams from the concept, final design, and construction phases, including start-up and operations of facilities.
The candidate must be able to support marketing and proposal efforts as appropriate.
The candidate must have experience directing and collaborating with a team of junior staff.
The candidate must have experience in the study, planning, and design of wastewater systems, including issues related to master planning, treatment, and collection/distribution.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in wastewater engineering or related fields.
The candidate must be able to lead the technical delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
The candidate must be able to support and demonstrate familiarity with regulatory requirements at the local, state, and federal levels relevant to wastewater projects.
The candidate must be willing to work in a hybrid role, with in-office presence at least one day per week and additional on-site presence as needed.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
