Job Description
The Wastewater Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance and responding to emergencies, on a rotating shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment systems as directed by the Project Manager.
- Respond to emergency or unpredicted situations during on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays.
- Assist in covering additional shifts as needed to ensure continuous plant operation.
Requirements
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Systems as directed by the Project Manager.
- Participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays, and outside normal workday hours, and respond to emergency or unpredicted situations as required.
- Work the schedule from 12:00 am to 12:00 pm (midnight to noon).
- Occasionally help cover an additional shift as needed.
- Possess the ability to work a rotating schedule with a two-week cycle, including working 2 days on Monday and Tuesday, 2 days off Wednesday and Thursday, and 3 days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in week one; and 2 days off Monday and Tuesday, 2 days on Wednesday and Thursday, and 3 days off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in week two.
- Be physically capable of participating in the operations and maintenance activities of wastewater treatment facilities.
- Have the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (implied as a minimum educational requirement for operational roles, although not explicitly stated).
- Be willing to participate in training and certification programs related to wastewater treatment operations, including earning, upgrading, and maintaining industry certifications.
- Be committed to working in compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational regulations and standards.
