Job Description

The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and management of a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring system efficiency, compliance, and effective communication with staff, clients, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.

  • Demonstrate experience in managing daily operations, maintenance, and administrative duties of a wastewater treatment plant.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a staff of 3-4 employees in the daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure effective system operation and optimization.
  • Be capable of performing hands-on work related to wastewater treatment plant operations.
  • Responsible for producing all required reports related to plant operations and compliance.
  • Coordinate the ongoing daily operation of the utility system to ensure efficient and compliant performance.
  • Possess or be able to obtain relevant industry certifications, licenses, or permits required for wastewater treatment plant management (specific certifications are not explicitly listed but implied as industry standard).
