Job Description
The Meter Reader position involves taking water meter readings, performing maintenance, repair, and installation of meters, and handling reconnects and disconnects, primarily in outdoor conditions, with a focus on customer service and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take meter readings accurately
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of meters
- Conduct reconnects and disconnects of meters
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and policies
- Work in various weather conditions and participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
- Responsibility for taking meter readings, maintenance, repair, and installation of meters, and performing reconnects, disconnects, and other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate basic communication and customer service skills.
- Be detail oriented.
- Comply with all company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
- This is a union position.
- Schedule Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
- This position is eligible for overtime.
