Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic at Woodard Curran is responsible for operating, monitoring, and performing mechanical and electrical repairs on equipment at a wastewater treatment plant, ensuring efficient plant operations and compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities.
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure efficient plant operation.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and HVAC equipment.
  • Perform electrical repairs on equipment including VFDs, power systems, and electrical components.
  • Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal hours.

Requirements

  • Possess the ability to perform basic to advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC equipment, and various types of electrical equipment including VFDs, power systems, and much more.
  • Be responsible for process monitoring and adjustments at the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Work in a wastewater plant that treats pre-treated Industrial wastewater from a direct discharge facility.
  • Be available to work on a schedule typically Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
  • Respond to emergency situations and work in inclement weather as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for plant coverage outside normal workday hours, including weekends and holidays.
