Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment at an industrial wastewater pretreatment plant, ensuring efficient process functioning and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and associated facilities
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure proper treatment operations
- Perform mechanical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, and HVAC equipment
- Perform electrical repairs on equipment including VFDs, power systems, and electrical components
Requirements
- Possess the ability to perform basic to advanced mechanical and electrical repairs on pumps, compressors, valves, HVAC equipment, and various types of electrical equipment including VFDs, power systems, and much more.
- Have experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, including process monitoring and adjustments.
- Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and the building and grounds.
- Have the physical ability to work in an industrial wastewater pretreatment plant environment, including performing repairs and process monitoring tasks.
- Possess knowledge and skills related to electrical systems, including VFDs and power systems, sufficient to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
- Be capable of working safely in an industrial environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
