A Wastewater Treatment Operator responsible for monitoring and controlling wastewater treatment processes, performing equipment operation, laboratory testing, sample collection, and maintenance tasks to ensure efficient and compliant plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Control the processing of wastewater and effluent
Regulate influent and effluent flows within the system
Monitor the operation of wastewater treatment plant equipment
Assist with basic laboratory testing and sample collection
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
Requirements
Possess a minimum of a Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Operator certification.
Work under the direct or general supervision of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager.
Learn and perform a variety of operational duties to control the processing of wastewater and effluent, including regulating influent and effluent flows within the system.
Monitor the operation of a variety of wastewater treatment plant equipment.
Assist with basic laboratory testing and sample collection related to wastewater treatment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in support of the wastewater treatment plant.
Work a schedule of five 8-hour shifts from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, after onboarding and training.
Work rotating standby on call, including weekends, with a $200 stipend provided for on-call time.
