Job Description
The Collections Utility Worker is responsible for operating and maintaining water and wastewater facilities, ensuring proper process control and equipment functionality, and supporting the delivery of clean water and environmental services.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities, equipment, and process control systems
- Assist in the management of water and wastewater systems to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of facility equipment and processes
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle as required.
- Willingness to work a schedule that includes winter hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm plus overtime, and summer hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
- Ability to operate and maintain water and wastewater facilities, equipment, and process control systems as part of a team.
- Experience or willingness to learn operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, with positions available for both inexperienced individuals seeking their first full-time job and experienced professionals.
- Ability to work overtime as the position is eligible for overtime compensation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with operating and maintaining water and wastewater systems, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures related to water and wastewater operations.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings and potentially adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational issues and safety concerns.

Compensation/salary range (not specified)
Work schedule: Winter Schedule 7:30am - 4:00pm plus overtime, Summer Schedule 6:30am - 3:00pm
