The role involves leading the development and optimization of manufacturing test systems for high-volume consumer electronics, including RF and audio products, with a focus on automation, quality assurance, and cross-department collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the development of manufacturing test systems for high-volume consumer electronics production.
Perform hands-on electrical development, programming, debugging, and optimization for NPI test stations.
Research and implement new test methods to improve production testing efficiency.
Develop RF test tools for Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, ZigBee, and RF4CE technologies.
Standardize test methodologies for specific features and drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, production, quality, and operations to meet test objectives.
Support the transition of test stations from NPI to mass production and prepare documentation for factory handoff.
Mentor and lead junior engineers, providing technical guidance and motivation.
Communicate effectively with internal and global departments regarding test issues and solutions.
Participate in production meetings and factory audits with key customers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in High Volume Manufacturing Test, and 3 years in a management role.
Have hands-on test experience and understanding of how to test RF and audio products, e.g., Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, etc.
Familiarity with testing consumer IOT and remote-control products.
Programming experience with common languages such as Python, C, LabVIEW, and others.
Knowledge and understanding of common test and measurement equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
Clearly communicate issues, concerns, and findings to the design engineer and factory manager.
Research and recommend solutions to complex production test problems.
Familiar with electronic circuit design and NPI development process before mass production.
Familiar with fast design of hardware for product testing.
Familiar with QA metrics such as Cpk and Gage R R analysis and their use in production testing.
Familiarity with Firmware, ARM, PLC, UART HID control is a plus.
Fixture Jig design experience, familiar with the pneumatic clamp structure design.
Good understanding of standard and non-standard fixture station structure, RF Audio IR Programming.
Rich experience of fixture parts module selection.
Familiar with Pro-E UG CAD or similar CAD software.
Concept DFM design at the beginning of the project and review/validate fixture on-site.
Good office and presentation skills (PPT, Excel).
CNC fixture design and manufacture experience will be a plus.
Work in an environment with 8 hours per day, 48 hours per week, in a high-pressure setting.
Ability to work in a busy environment, sometimes requiring business trips.
Good English and Vietnamese communication skills; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
