The PE Test Technician is responsible for performing manual and automated testing on electronic assemblies, recording results, troubleshooting issues, and supporting quality and process improvements in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual and automated tests on electronic assemblies to verify functionality and compliance
Operate production test equipment following test strategies to ensure product quality
Record, analyze, and report test data, including identifying and escalating recurring failures
Perform basic troubleshooting of test stations and units under test, including component-level failure identification
Use test software tools to run diagnostics and log results
Assist with maintenance and calibration of test fixtures and equipment
Follow work instructions and standard procedures to ensure consistent test outcomes
Support audits and customer visits by demonstrating proper testing processes and traceability
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and yield
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years working experience in a related field.
Good at English communication skills.
Experience in operating FCT (Functional Circuit Test) machines, programming machines, and product error analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Able to perform manual and automated tests on electronic assemblies to verify functionality and compliance with specifications.
Able to operate production test equipment and follow defined test strategies to ensure product quality and performance.
Capable of supporting test coverage validation by accurately following test instructions and reporting unexpected results or failures.
Skilled in recording and analyzing test data, flagging yield issues, and escalating recurring failures to engineering for root cause analysis.
Able to perform basic troubleshooting of test stations and units under test, including identification of component-level failures.
Proficient in using test software tools such as LabVIEW-based user interfaces or in-house applications to run diagnostics and log results.
Able to assist with the maintenance and calibration of test fixtures and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
Able to follow work instructions and standard procedures to support consistent and repeatable test outcomes across shifts.
Capable of supporting audits and customer visits by demonstrating proper test processes and ensuring traceability of test results.
Willing to participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing test time, improving yields, and supporting overall factory efficiency.
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Able to work 40-48 hours per week, with rotational Saturdays off.
Able to work in both office and production environment.
