A senior Lead Test Systems Development Engineer responsible for hands-on electrical development, automation, and debugging of test stations for high-volume consumer electronics production, collaborating across departments to improve testing efficiency, quality, and transition from NPI to mass production.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on electrical development, debugging, and optimization for NPI test stations.
Lead, mentor, and motivate test engineering team to meet production test objectives.
Research and implement new production test methods to improve efficiency.
Develop RF test tools for Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, ZigBee, and RF4CE technologies.
Standardize test methodologies for specific features across production.
Collaborate with design, firmware, and other departments to support product development and transition to mass production.
Create documentation for test station handoff and support factory audits and customer meetings.
Drive yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost-quality enhancements in testing processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in High Volume Manufacturing Test, and 3 years in a senior role.
Hands-on test experience and understanding of how to test RF and audio products such as Bluetooth, BLE, WiFi, etc.
Familiarity with testing consumer IoT and remote-control products.
Programming experience with common languages such as Python, C, LabVIEW, and others.
Knowledge and understanding of common test and measurement equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
Test fixture jig design experience.
Ability to clearly communicate issues, concerns, and findings to the design engineer and factory manager.
Research and recommend solutions to complex production test problems.
Familiarity with electronic circuit design and NPI development process before mass production.
Familiarity with fast hardware design for product testing.
Knowledge of statistical analysis methods such as Cpk and Gage R R analysis.
Good English and Vietnamese communication skills; Mandarin is a plus.
Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
