Job Description
A remote position for a commercial real estate attorney responsible for supporting the origination, negotiation, and closing of renewable energy real estate transactions across the U.S., including due diligence and strategic advising within a fast-growing infrastructure investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the US
- Manage a pipeline of deals across the United States
- Negotiate and draft documents for commercial real estate transactions
- Conduct due diligence and underwriting of assets for lease terms, cash flow, and facility information
- Advise on strategic transactions and commercial matters
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, including experience with mid to large-sized law firms
- Experience with negotiating and drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions
- Experience conducting due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and facility information
- Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship
- Fluent with technology and remote work capabilities
- Demonstrated success in executing business strategy, accelerating a pipeline of transactions to closing, and exercising sound judgment to assess and manage portfolio risk
- Ability to interact regularly with team members from senior management, origination, pricing, and property management while working remotely
- High level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team and company culture
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative team spirit
- A love of adventure and passion for learning
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize deal flow and exercise sound business judgment
- Outstanding oral, written, and analytical skills
- Respect for colleagues and a sense of humor
