Job Description
The position is a research internship focused on developing immersive scenarios using Generative AI technologies to support narrative-driven design, strategic scenario generation, and future product and social trend evaluation within Toyota's Human-Centered AI division.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop immersive scenarios driven by Generative AI for inventing and evaluating strategic scenarios, future product designs, and social trends.
- Collaborate with mentors and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, including division and stakeholder meetings.
- Engage in strategy discussions to connect research outcomes with business impact at Toyota.
- Support the acceleration of design and engineering processes in the automotive industry using cognitive modeling, physiological sensing, HCI, and machine learning.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or have completed a PhD in a relevant field such as multimedia, immersive technologies, design, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in design and generative AI technologies.
- Strong background in multi-media and immersive technologies.
- Experience in developing immersive scenarios driven by Generative AI tools.
- Ability to support the development of immersive scenarios for inventing and evaluating strategic scenarios, future product designs, and future social trends.
- Willingness to participate in all Human-Centered AI division meetings, Future Product Innovation group meetings, and meetings with stakeholders from relevant Toyota business groups.
- Ability to engage in interdisciplinary industrial research and connect research to business impact at Toyota.
- Availability for a 13-week paid internship during Fall Winter 2025.
- Ability to work in a hybrid in-office role.
