Job Description

A research internship focused on developing immersive scenarios using generative AI technologies to support narrative-driven design, strategic scenario creation, and future product development within Toyota's Human-Centered AI division.

Key Responsibilities

Develop immersive scenarios using Generative AI for inventing and evaluating strategic scenarios, future product designs, and social trends.
Collaborate with mentors and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, including division and stakeholder meetings.
Engage in strategy discussions to connect research outcomes with business impact at Toyota.
Apply expertise in CAD Generation, multimedia, and immersive technologies to support design and innovation projects.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or enrolled in a PhD program with a strong background in CAD Generation and multi-media and immersive technologies, with demonstrated interest in design and generative AI.
Experience in developing immersive scenarios driven by Generative AI tools, with applications to generation of immersive scenarios for inventing and evaluating strategic scenarios, future product designs, and future social trends.
Ability to participate in interdisciplinary industrial research and collaborate with mentors and team members across different divisions and stakeholder groups.
Willingness to engage in strategy discussions about how research connects to business impact at Toyota.
Availability to commit to a 13-week paid internship during Fall Winter 2025, with a hybrid in-office role.
Ability to participate in all relevant team meetings, division meetings, and meetings with stakeholders from Toyota business groups.
