Job Description
The Senior Project Manager PE in Highway Design leads the planning, engineering, and design of transportation infrastructure projects, manages client relationships, and contributes to business development efforts within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex transportation infrastructure projects ensuring safety and efficiency
- Provide comprehensive services including transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design
- Collaborate with management and business development teams to develop marketing plans and proposals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and agency representatives
- Track prospective project opportunities and deliver client presentations
- Ensure project cost efficiency and risk mitigation through innovative collaboration
Requirements
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state relevant to the position.
- Experience leading projects for designing complex, safe, and efficient transportation infrastructure systems.
- Experience working with clients to provide a full range of services including sustainable transportation planning, geometric layouts, multimodal planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
- Ability to contribute to business development activities such as developing marketing plans, cultivating and maintaining relations with clients and agency representatives, tracking prospective opportunities, developing proposals, and delivering client presentations.
- Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team environment that emphasizes innovation, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with a schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
- Pre-employment background screening including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
