Job Description
A Senior Professional Civil Engineer responsible for leading project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and managing various civil site design projects across diverse sectors, from preliminary design to construction, in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams in civil site design and engineering projects
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Work directly with clients from preliminary design through construction phases
- Design stormwater management systems and utility infrastructure
- Manage corporate campus development projects
- Collaborate with Market Managers to build and maintain client relationships
Requirements
- Possession of a Professional Civil Engineer license (PE) in Illinois or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil site design, including preliminary design through construction phases.
- Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Proven ability to work directly with clients on civil engineering projects.
- Demonstrated experience in stormwater management, utility infrastructure design, or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong skills in civil engineering design, project leadership, and client relationship building.
- Ability to collaborate with Market Managers to develop client relationships as part of a seller-doer approach.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, with in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday and WFH on Monday and Friday.
- Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
