Job Description

A Senior Professional Civil Engineer will lead and coordinate roadway and municipal projects from feasibility to construction, focusing on design, traffic analysis, utilities, and transportation planning, while also contributing to business development and client relations in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design and project coordination for roadway and municipal projects from feasibility studies to construction supervision
Perform roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning
Collaborate with management to develop marketing plans, cultivate client relationships, and track project opportunities
Develop proposals and deliver client presentations for project acquisition and business development

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of professional civil engineering experience, with up to 20 years of experience preferred.
Experience leading impactful projects that enhance community connectivity and safety.
Proven ability to lead design and project coordination throughout the full cycle of roadway and municipal projects, including feasibility studies, initial design, final design, and supervising construction of design.
Experience working on projects involving roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning for both urban and rural roadways.
Ability to collaborate with the Roadway Utilities Group Manager and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering to develop marketing plans, cultivate and maintain client and agency relations, track prospective opportunities, develop proposals, and deliver client presentations.
Must be a licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) or equivalent credential.
Demonstrated experience in business development activities related to civil engineering projects, including contributing to marketing plans, client relations, and proposal development.
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with in-office work on Monday and Friday, and WFH from Tuesday to Thursday.
Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
