Job Description
A Senior Professional Civil Engineer responsible for leading roadway and municipal projects through all design phases, coordinating utilities and transportation planning, and contributing to business development efforts within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and project coordination for roadway and municipal projects from feasibility studies to construction supervision
- Conduct roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning
- Collaborate with management to develop marketing plans, cultivate client and agency relationships, and track project opportunities
- Develop proposals and deliver client presentations
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of professional civil engineering experience, with the expectation of up to 20 years of experience.
- Experience leading impactful projects that enhance community connectivity and safety.
- Proven ability to lead design and project coordination throughout the full cycle of roadway and municipal projects, including feasibility studies, initial design, final design, and supervising construction of the design.
- Experience working on projects that include roadway design, traffic analysis, pavement management, utilities coordination, and transportation planning for both urban and rural roadways.
- Ability to collaborate with group managers and senior leadership to develop marketing plans, cultivate and maintain client and agency relations, track prospective opportunities, develop proposals, and deliver client presentations.
- Possession of a professional engineering license in civil engineering (implied by the senior professional engineer role).
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with in-office presence on Monday and Friday, and WFH from Tuesday to Thursday.
- Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
