Job Description
A Professional Engineer in Civil - Construction will lead site design for industrial rail facilities, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects, and support project management, business development, and mentorship within a growing railroad services firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance buildings, fueling stations, and administrative offices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative infrastructure solutions for railroads
- Grow project management skills and mentor junior staff
- Support business development by cultivating client relationships and assisting in proposal development
Requirements
- Possession of a Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance and service buildings, locomotive fueling stations, and administrative offices.
- Ability to lead site design projects independently.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering professionals.
- Experience delivering solutions for Class I, short line, and passenger railroads across the country.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment with three days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) and two days working from home (Monday and Friday).
- Ability to contribute to project management, mentor junior staff, and support business development efforts including cultivating client relationships and proposal development.
- Successful completion of a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
