Job Description

TerraPower is seeking a highly talented and motivated candidate for the position of Director, Insurance and Enterprise Risk Management.

Requirements

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business or risk-management-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of relevant insurance-related experience (general liability strongly preferred), with at least 3 years as a corporate risk manager (preferred).
Applicable experience in nuclear energy, nuclear pharmacy, construction or utilities sectors, or insurance brokerage required.
Knowledge
Expert knowledge of commercial insurance concepts.
Practical and experience-proven knowledge of enterprise risk management and risk mitigation strategies.
Knowledge of construction means and methods and industry-standard insurance policies and forms.
Knowledge of claims management with progressive experience managing complex claims.
Knowledge of contract provisions related to insurance.
Expertise in data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of the regulatory and administrative environment in which risk management issues are navigated.
Skills
Highly skilled and efficient in organizing information.
Strong decision-making/problem solving skills.
Excellent analytic and reasoning skills.
Strong interpersonal skills in working cross-functionally with other groups.
Exceptional verbal and written communication needed for reporting to executive level management.

Licenses/Certifications
Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) or similar certification preferred.
