Job Description
The Staff ML Engineer at Sword Health will develop and enhance AI and machine learning features to deliver personalized clinical care, working closely with clinical teams to create systems that support decision-making and improve patient outcomes in a remote, hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop ML-powered features to identify the best course of action for each patient.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance AI care personalization and effectiveness.
- Ensure AI-driven experiences closely mimic one-on-one sessions with Physical Therapists.
- Leverage recent advancements in Generative AI to improve the human touch and personalization of AI care.
- Contribute to projects like Phoenix and decision support systems to empower Physical Therapists.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Proven experience in developing machine learning models and features, with a focus on clinical care or healthcare applications.
- Strong skills in AI and ML techniques, including recent developments in Generative AI.
- Ability to collaborate closely with clinical teams to develop ML-powered features that identify the best course of action for each patient at any given moment or circumstance.
- Experience in ensuring AI and ML solutions provide a high-quality, personalized experience similar to a 1-on-1 session with a Physical Therapist.
- Experience working on decision support systems or projects similar to Phoenix that empower physical therapists or healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a remote/hybrid environment, managing flexible working hours and remote work allowances.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied).
