Job Description
The Senior Backend Engineer will develop and maintain the backend systems of Sword Health's AI Care platform, contributing to the company's mission of transforming healthcare through AI-driven solutions across various health domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for the AI Care platform
- Design scalable and efficient server-side architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve existing systems
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Experience in backend software development, specifically with backend engineering skills relevant to building and maintaining AI Care platform.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for backend development (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
- Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems.
- Knowledge of AI and healthcare technology integration is preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and manage tasks independently within flexible working hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is preferred.
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards relevant to healthcare data.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
