Job Description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Sword Health is responsible for transforming data into scalable models, building and optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring consistent metrics across the organization to enable data-driven decision-making and innovation in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform data into scalable, trusted models to support business decisions and advanced analytics
- Build and maintain the semantic layer to ensure consistency of metrics across the organization
- Optimize data pipelines and reporting processes to improve data accessibility and reliability
- Bridge the gap between data engineering and data analytics to enable data-driven decision making
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related field, with a proven ability to transform data into scalable, trusted models that support business decisions and advanced analytics.
- Experience in building and maintaining a semantic layer to ensure consistency of metrics across an organization.
- Proficiency in optimizing data pipelines and reporting processes to enable reliable and efficient data access and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data transformation, data modeling, and data pipeline development.
- Ability to bridge the gap between data engineering and data analytics, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and empower teams across the organization.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Legal eligibility to work in Portugal, including possession of a valid EU visa, as candidates must be based in Portugal.
- Ability to work remotely with flexible working hours and willingness to work from home.
- Availability to work in a position that does not offer relocation assistance, with the requirement to be based in Portugal.
