Job Description
The Senior Accountant - General Ledger is responsible for managing core general ledger activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the monthly close process in a multi-entity, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and review core general ledger activities
- Ensure balance sheet integrity
- Support consolidated financial reporting in a multi-entity, international environment
- Contribute to the monthly close process to deliver a clean and predictable T+5 close
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with specific experience in general ledger activities and monthly close processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience executing and reviewing core general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to support consolidated financial reporting in a multi-entity, international environment.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet integrity and the ability to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Experience working closely with an Assistant Controller or similar role to deliver a predictable and accurate T+5 (five-day) close process.
- Ability to support and improve the monthly close and financial reporting processes.
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Must be able to work remotely and have flexible working hours.
