Job Description
The Lead ML Engineer at Sword Health is responsible for developing and enhancing AI and machine learning features that deliver personalized clinical care, working closely with clinical teams to create decision support systems and leverage the latest advancements in Generative AI to improve patient outcomes and the overall AI care experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ML-powered features to identify the best course of action for each patient.
- Collaborate closely with the clinical team to enhance AI care personalization and effectiveness.
- Ensure AI and ML systems provide a high-quality, human-like experience comparable to in-person therapy sessions.
- Leverage recent advancements in Generative AI to improve the personalization and human touch of AI care.
- Contribute to projects like Phoenix and decision support systems to empower Physical Therapists in delivering care.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Proven experience in leading machine learning engineering teams or projects, demonstrating the ability to develop and deploy ML-powered features.
- Strong skills in AI and ML development, including experience with building high-quality clinical care solutions at scale and personalization.
- Experience collaborating closely with clinical teams to develop ML features that identify the best course of action for individual patients.
- Ability to develop decision support systems and projects similar to Phoenix that empower physical therapists and improve patient care.
- Knowledge of recent developments in the Generative AI field and experience leveraging these in practical applications.
- Excellent understanding of AI/ML model development, deployment, and scaling in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to consider holistic and nuanced perspectives in AI solutions.
- Experience working in a remote/hybrid work environment with flexible working hours.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines (implied but not explicitly specified).
