Job Description
The Android Engineer will develop and maintain Android applications to support Sword Health's AI-powered solutions, contributing to their mission of creating a pain-free world and improving patient outcomes on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications for Sword Health's AI-powered healthcare platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve app features
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- This position does not offer relocation assistance.
- Proficiency in Android development, including experience with Android SDK and related tools.
- Experience in developing, testing, and deploying Android applications.
- Strong understanding of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Experience with mobile app architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services into Android applications.
- Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and experience designing user-friendly interfaces for Android apps.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues in Android applications.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
