Job Description
The Android Engineer will develop and maintain Android applications to support Sword Health's mission of using AI to improve pain management and healthcare outcomes, contributing to a global team focused on innovative health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Android applications for Sword Health's AI Care platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and improve existing ones
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and incorporate best practices
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- This position requires experience in Android development, with a specific focus on building Android applications.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to Android development, such as Java and/or Kotlin.
- Ability to develop, test, and deploy Android applications following best practices and industry standards.
- Experience working with Android SDK, APIs, and third-party libraries to integrate functionalities into applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and the ability to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git, for code management and collaboration.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards.
- Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting Android applications.
- Understanding of mobile security best practices and data privacy considerations in app development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly document technical work and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
