Job Description
A Mechanical Engineer at SunDrive will develop, improve, and integrate solar cell production systems, focusing on mechanical design, automation, testing, and collaboration to enhance manufacturing efficiency and scalability in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and integrate solar cell production systems.
- Drive mechanical design projects to enhance throughput, repeatability, and reliability.
- Develop automation solutions to reduce manual handling in high-volume environments.
- Validate designs through testing, data collection, and iteration.
- Take designs through to fabrication.
- Collaborate with process engineers, project managers, and equipment partners to commission new systems and resolve equipment challenges.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in developing, improving, and integrating solar cell production systems.
- Proven ability to drive mechanical design projects that improve throughput, repeatability, and reliability.
- Experience in developing automation solutions that reduce manual handling in high-volume environments.
- Hands-on experience working with tools to validate designs through testing, data collection, and iteration.
- Ability to take designs through to fabrication and implementation.
- Experience collaborating closely with process engineers, project managers, and equipment partners to commission new systems and resolve equipment challenges.
- Ability to contribute to projects that enhance performance at scale.
- Demonstrated experience in testing and validating mechanical designs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
