Job Description
The role involves analyzing and modeling the US renewable natural gas (RNG) market to develop trading strategies, predict price movements, and contribute to profit and loss in a front office trading environment. The position requires collaboration, data analysis, and market insight within the renewable energy commodities sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Model the US RNG market by consolidating supply, demand, and related variables to develop a comprehensive market view.
- Develop processes to gather and organize market data into a structured, trackable system.
- Identify profitable trading strategies and generate trade ideas based on market analysis.
- Create and communicate clear, structured insights and predictions on RNG price movements.
- Formulate trading strategies and directional calls to support PnL generation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in energy commodity markets.
- STEM or other quantitative academic background, or equivalent experience.
- Competence with Excel and ability to work independently.
- Naturally collaborative and great communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work effectively and condense large amounts of data into concise outcomes.
- Keen interest in learning about renewable energy markets and trading.
