Job Description
This role involves business development within the renewable energy tax credit sector, focusing on sourcing deals, building client relationships, and driving transactions related to environmental commodities and decarbonization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and develop new business within the renewable energy transferable tax credit space
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, investors, and renewable energy developers
- Source high-quality tax credit supply by engaging renewable energy developers and infrastructure funds
- Attend conferences and host client workshops to promote services and gather market intelligence
- Provide clients with market insights, pricing guidance, and strategic recommendations
- Lead deal execution and negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Support client onboarding and ensure seamless engagement throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Drive revenue growth through product positioning and market analysis
Requirements
- 0-3 years experience in sales business development role
- Affinity with renewable energy, financial markets, or tax equity transactions and trading environments
- Proven track record of closing transactions
- Strong analytical and market research skills
- Experience in utilizing CRM, email sequences, other sales enablement software such as Zoominfo, LinkedIn, etc., and minimum coding skills for making your own life easier
- Bachelor's degree required
- Finance, Business, or Tax backgrounds would suit well
