The Senior Financial Analyst FP&A at Solid Power is responsible for supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and providing insights to guide strategic business decisions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the annual budgeting process with department leaders
Lead quarterly financial forecasting and update projections
Assist in developing the company's long-range financial plan and scenario modeling
Prepare and present monthly management reports and performance dashboards
Support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting packages for leadership and the Board
Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue growth with business units
Perform complex financial modeling for business ventures, revenue, and product costs
Collaborate with accounting during month-end close for accurate financial reporting
Utilize financial systems and data tools to improve FP&A processes and reporting efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
At least 2 years of progressive experience in FP A, investment banking, consulting or corporate finance.
Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling.
Data analysis experience with ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Strong understanding of financial statements, underlying financial data, and performance metrics.
Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
Ability to support the annual budgeting process by partnering with department leaders to develop and consolidate departmental budgets.
Ability to lead the quarterly forecasting process by updating financial projections based on business performance, evolving assumptions, and feedback from business units.
Ability to support the company's long-range financial plan, including scenario modeling to evaluate business opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
Experience preparing and presenting monthly management reports to leadership, including performance dashboards, variance analyses, and executive summaries.
Experience supporting the preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting packages including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses for presentation to executive management and the Board of Directors.
Ability to partner with business units to identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and revenue growth.
Experience supporting complex financial modeling for business ventures, revenue projections, and product cost analysis.
Ability to collaborate with accounting during month-end close to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Willingness to work prolonged periods at a computer.

Salary range: 100,000 - 120,000 per year
