A Production Operator at Solid Power supports the manufacturing of electrolyte powder for next-generation batteries by operating equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards, and maintaining accurate records in a chemical production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production and powder-handling equipment following SOPs
Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities
Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic maintenance
Weigh, stage, and transfer raw materials and powders accurately
Package, label, and seal electrolyte powder according to quality and safety standards
Complete batch records, log sheets, and digital entries accurately
Perform in-process quality checks and communicate deviations or safety concerns
Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling protocols
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with standards
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, powder production, or similar environments preferred.
Comfortable working with powders, chemicals, and glovebox or controlled-atmosphere operations.
Ability to understand SOPs, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
Basic computer skills training provided on internal systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team-oriented environment.
Available to work a 7:00am to 3:30pm shift Monday through Friday.
Ability to lift 50lbs daily.
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.
