Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the reliability and quality of manufacturing silicon solar panels for space applications, including developing quality processes, leading inspections, and collaborating across teams to meet industry standards and ensure hardware is space-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and own quality processes to ensure solar panels are launch-ready and space-worthy
- Lead inspection protocols and define quality standards
- Drive root-cause analysis on mission-critical hardware
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to improve quality systems
Requirements
- Create and own the quality processes that ensure every solar panel built is launch-ready and space-worthy.
- Lead inspection protocols to ensure product quality.
- Define quality standards for manufacturing and hardware.
- Drive root-cause analysis on mission-critical hardware to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to maintain and improve quality processes.
- Possess hands-on experience in quality management within manufacturing environments, especially related to hardware or space technology.
- Ability to solve complex problems and improve imperfect systems related to quality and manufacturing processes.
