Job Description
A Process Technician working night shifts responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to produce ultra-thin solar cells for space applications, troubleshooting issues, and supporting process transfer from R&D to large-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Process ultra-thin solar cells according to baseline procedures
- Operate R&D equipment safely to run production lots
- Troubleshoot tool failures and diagnose alarms
- Assist process engineers with transferring R&D processes to manufacturing tools
- Perform operational preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Conduct basic quality control procedures during floor operations
Requirements
- Safely operating R D equipment to run baseline solar cell production lots according to documented procedures
- Troubleshooting tool failures during production
- Assisting process engineers with transferring R D processes to large-scale manufacturing tools
- Performing operational preventative maintenance on large-scale manufacturing equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting intermediate-level alarms on manufacturing equipment
- Running basic quality control procedures on solar cell production
- Working with simple hand tools and systems during floor operations
- Processing ultra-thin solar cells according to baseline processes
