Senior Manager, Procurement

• Serve as subject matter expert for electrical equipment. • Evaluate and validate technical specifications for procurement decisions. • Support value engineering efforts in collaboration with engineering and field teams. • Identify and assess new technologies, vendors, and equipment solutions. • Lead technical vetting of suppliers and equipment. • Develop performance benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for vendors. • Support vendor selection and procurement strategy through technical analysis. • Partner with Director of Procurement on strategic supplier decisions. • Develop dashboards and reporting (in collaboration with technical resources). • Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making across procurement. • Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, cost, and performance. • Introduce new tools, methodologies, and frameworks for procurement optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical preferred), supply chain, or related field. • 7+ years of experience in procurement, engineering, or technical sourcing. • Strong experience with solar equipment (inverters, transformers, switchgear, etc.). • Experience supporting or leading technical evaluation of vendors and equipment. • Proven ability to influence decisions through data and analysis. • Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools. • Familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics preferred). • Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation systems. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to translate technical concepts into business decisions. • Experience in solar, energy, or infrastructure sectors. • Exposure to battery storage systems or emerging energy technologies. • Engineering background (electrical strongly preferred).
