Job Description
The Director of Subcontracts Trade Partnerships is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and maintaining long-term subcontractor relationships across various trades to support the company's growth in commercial rooftop solar projects, ensuring strategic, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, sustain, and scale long-term subcontractor partnerships across electrical, roofing, structural, civil, and specialty trades.
- Develop and implement subcontractor market strategies to ensure the company is a preferred partner in competitive labor markets.
- Establish partnership models, commercial frameworks, and governance structures to protect the company and promote trust and transparency.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure strong, durable, and capable partnerships over time.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Development, Construction, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Safety, and Supply Chain to support regional and multi-site growth.
Requirements
- Experience building, sustaining, and scaling long-term subcontractor partnerships in the context of commercial and industrial rooftop solar development and EPC growth strategy.
- Ownership of the subcontractor market strategy across electrical, roofing, structural, civil, and specialty trades.
- Ability to ensure the company is a preferred partner of choice in competitive labor markets.
- Proven success in managing cost, schedule, and quality outcomes related to subcontractor relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to develop partnership models, commercial frameworks, and governance structures that protect the company while enabling trust, transparency, and long-term alignment.
- Experience working closely with Development, Construction, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Safety, and Supply Chain teams to support growth across multiple regions and multi-site programs.
