Job Description
The role involves leading and enhancing the planning and delivery of complex construction projects, focusing on developing scalable solutions, managing project plans, and improving industry practices through innovative project management and technology integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the project plan for one or more projects, ensuring effective execution and mitigation of delays.
- Ensure project understanding and focus on the plan among stakeholders, influencing project outcomes.
- Provide actionable reports to stakeholders to facilitate efficient and effective project delivery.
- Develop scalable, repeatable best practices, tools, and solutions in collaboration with the team.
- Lead the development of team members and educate clients to improve project performance.
Requirements
- A construction engineering background.
- Solid construction project planning capability in all aspects that take into account strategic objectives and the broad context you are operating in.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills, with the charisma and influence to get construction people to do new things and take the best approach.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including proactively leading yourself and others by asking the right questions and challenging them, as well as being a proven leader, coach, and developer of teams.
- A track record of making projects and organizations better beyond just doing the basics, by implementing scalable, repeatable solutions that had a significant positive impact.
- Experience owning and managing the project plan for one or more projects and ensuring that the project is working to it effectively, including mitigating and managing delays commercially.
- Ability to provide simple, actionable reports to stakeholders at all levels to help them deliver their part of the project more efficiently and effectively.
- Experience developing scalable and repeatable best practices, tools, and solutions in collaboration with a team to achieve long-term impact.
- Ability to maximize the development of team members both personally and professionally, and to educate clients to improve their practices.
