Job Description

The Digital Construction Implementation Engineer is responsible for helping construction organizations adopt digital tools on site, providing training, support, and feedback to improve product adoption and effectiveness, while collaborating with sales and product teams to enhance construction management software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Own relationships with customers to ensure successful adoption of Shape's tools on construction projects.
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction with the products.
Collaborate with the product team to provide field insights and help improve the products.
Stay informed about industry trends and challenges to drive change and adoption.
Create training materials and contribute to the customer-facing knowledge base.

Requirements

Have worked in the construction industry in a site office role.
Have used tools such as Excel, Word, or construction-specific software to manage day-to-day tasks.
Possess a mastery understanding of construction management practices, including first-hand experience of using software on construction projects.
Be a confident and clear communicator, comfortable working with both front-line personnel and senior management to understand their needs from a product.
Be a self-starter capable of working with business leaders to agree on strategies and goals, and then setting your own agenda to meet them.
Create and utilize templates in Excel or Word to help others embrace digital tools and improve efficiency.
Monitor customer satisfaction by creating mechanisms to measure satisfaction using the company's products.
Collaborate closely with the product development team by providing insights gathered from field implementation to help improve the product.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and challenges in the construction industry related to technology adoption, and use this knowledge to drive change.
Create training materials and contribute to the customer-facing knowledge base to assist clients in training their teams.
Have the ability to engage with clients on a one-to-one basis and present to larger groups effectively.
Possess leadership qualities, including being a self-starter, capable of leading a team, recognizing excellent customer service, and empowering others.
Have a proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing rising stars, and creating tools and processes from scratch.
Deep understanding of how to use data to create effective onboarding experiences and measure engagement of new users (preferred but not mandatory).
Ability to recognize and deliver excellent customer service and to lead a team (preferred but not mandatory).
Be committed to continuous feedback and improvement, and work effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to work in a hybrid role combining remote work, site presence at client projects, and office locations.
Ability to work with clients to identify challenges and help them adopt digital tools successfully on construction projects.
Support the setup of a scalable digital implementation function that uses data-backed methods for both enterprise and self-serve customers.
Be capable of working with sales, design, and engineering teams to support customer onboarding and product improvement initiatives.
