Job Description

The role involves driving B2B sales and strategic partnerships in the new energy and AI-driven scientific solutions sector, focusing on advanced battery materials and laboratory automation technologies. The position requires technical expertise in battery chemistry and materials science, combined with experience in technical sales and client engagement to promote AI-enhanced battery solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical B2B sales efforts in the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets.
  • Identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, promoting AI-powered smart lab solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate the value of AI solutions.
  • Manage negotiations to finalize agreements and ensure commercial success.
  • Maintain understanding of customer workflows related to battery materials and laboratory automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • A career progression that began in a technical role (e.g., Chemical Engineer) and transitioned into a customer technical supporting sales or business development position.
  • Proven track record in technical B2B sales, negotiating and closing enterprise accounts in relevant markets such as new energy, battery, or chemical materials.
  • Deep technical literacy in battery materials, lithium battery technology, and the broader new energy ecosystem.
  • Experience in managing the entire enterprise account lifecycle within the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets.
  • Ability to identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, specifically driving the adoption of AI-powered smart lab solutions.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive market analysis to identify key opportunities and strategic partnerships within the energy OEM market and chemical materials industry.
  • Ability to translate complex customer needs and technical challenges into clear solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
  • Capability to develop and deliver technical solution presentations that articulate the value proposition of AI solutions within material science workflows.
  • Experience managing negotiations to drive agreements to completion and secure commercial success.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer battery chemical material workflows and effectively communicate the value of AI4Science ecosystem, including laboratory automation.
