Job Description
The Site Manager oversees the operations and performance of two off-grid energy plants, leading a team to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe energy delivery while managing coordination with various stakeholders and maintaining system uptime guarantees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and performance of two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of energy
- Coordinate with Scale Microgrids staff, O M provider, and LTSA providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations
- Lead and direct a team of operators and maintenance personnel
- Ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency
- Proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches related to system availability and uptime
Requirements
- Experience in overseeing the operations and performance of energy plants, specifically managing two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of reliable energy in an off-grid installation.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with staff, including Scale Microgrids staff, the O M provider, and LTSA providers, to ensure safe and effective plant operations.
- Experience leading and directing a team of operators and maintenance personnel to ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency.
- Ability to proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches and ensure compliance with system availability and uptime guarantees as specified in the performance-based power purchasing agreement.
- Strong management skills to serve as the management lead for the energy plants, with responsibility for operational oversight and team leadership.
- Physical and mental capacity to perform the duties associated with managing energy plant operations, including safety and operational effectiveness.
- Willingness and ability to be based near New Albany, Ohio, as the role requires physical presence at the site.
- Educational background or experience sufficient to manage complex energy plant operations, with a preference for relevant technical or engineering qualifications (implied but not explicitly specified).
