Job Description
The Site Manager oversees the operations and performance of two off-grid energy plants, leading a team to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe power delivery while coordinating with various stakeholders and maintaining system uptime guarantees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and performance of two Energy Center plants providing 300MW of energy
- Coordinate with Scale Microgrids staff, O M provider, and LTSA providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations
- Lead and manage a team of operators and maintenance personnel
- Ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency
- Proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches related to system availability and uptime
Requirements
- Experience in overseeing the operations and performance of energy plants, with a focus on managing off-grid energy facilities providing at least 300MW of reliable energy.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively with staff, operations and maintenance (O M) providers, and Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) providers to ensure safe and effective plant operations.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of operators and maintenance personnel to ensure uninterrupted utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency.
- Ability to proactively prevent reliability guarantee breaches and ensure compliance with system availability and uptime guarantees as specified in the performance-based power purchasing agreement.
- Strong understanding of performance-based energy contracts, including the implications of financial penalties tied to system availability and uptime guarantees.
- Must be able to work and be based in near New Albany, Ohio.
- Experience in managing plant operations to ensure continuous utility service delivery at optimal performance and efficiency.
- Ability to lead and direct a team of operators and maintenance personnel effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in ensuring safety and effective plant operation in an energy or industrial setting.
