Job Description
The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for leading pre-construction activities for distributed generation projects, including solar, natural gas, and energy storage, supporting the development and implementation of clean energy solutions within a fast-growing, private equity-backed company.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pre-construction activities for distributed generation projects including solar, natural gas, and energy storage.
- Coordinate and manage project planning, engineering, and permitting processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project readiness and compliance.
Requirements
- Experience driving pre-construction activities for distributed generation projects including solar, natural gas generation, and energy storage resources.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role reporting to the Sr. Director of Project Engineering and Preconstruction.
- Willingness to travel within the primary area of operation.
- Proven experience in managing pre-construction processes for energy projects.
- Strong understanding of distributed energy systems, including solar, natural gas, and energy storage.
- Excellent project management skills to coordinate activities across multiple project phases.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to act like an owner and do the right thing in project execution.
- Educational background relevant to engineering, construction management, or related fields (implied but not explicitly specified).
