Job Description

This role involves supporting supply chain and product launch planning through data analysis, forecasting, and process improvements, contributing to the optimization of Samsara's hardware operations and global supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of hardware product launches with cross-functional teams
  • Perform financial analysis to identify hardware cost drivers and recommend margin improvements
  • Analyze Integrated Business Planning processes to identify system leverage and streamline workflows
  • Analyze historical data to identify trends in product demand and improve forecasting accuracy
  • Develop dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to monitor key KPIs
  • Collaborate on projects to improve processes and automate data workflows within Operations

Requirements

  • Pursuing MBA or MS in Supply Chain, operations or general management with a program end date in the Spring of 2027
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, or an analytical field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Data Science
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in finance, data analytics, or operations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to build complex models and perform rigorous data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including ability to synthesize findings into a digestible format for various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to structure problems, manage multiple tasks, and a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Ability to analyze historical data to identify trends in product mix and customer demand to improve forecasting accuracy
  • Ability to perform financial analysis to identify key drivers of hardware costs and provide data-driven recommendations for margin improvement
  • Experience supporting planning and execution for hardware product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment across teams
  • Experience analyzing Integrated Business Planning processes and identifying opportunities to leverage systems and streamline work
  • Interest in supply chain planning, demand planning, or hardware operations
  • Ability to collaborate on special projects within the Operations organization to drive process improvements and automate data workflows
  • Ability to develop dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Looker to provide visibility into key KPIs
  • Ability to work remotely within the US (excluding SF Bay Metro CA, NYC Metro NY, Washington DC Metro) without relocation assistance
