Job Description
The role involves architecting and developing high-impact software products across the full technology stack to support Samsara's connected hardware and IoT solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, customer-focused innovations in physical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop high-impact software products from conception to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features that address customer needs.
- Experiment with and iterate on solutions based on feedback from sales, customers, and internal teams.
- Work across the entire technology stack, including firmware, hardware, front-end, and backend systems.
- Engage with customers and internal teams to gather insights and ensure solutions meet real-world operational challenges.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience building software with a proven track record shipping products both 0-1 and at scale
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Entrepreneurial ownership mindset
- Demonstrated nuance and judgement building for speed and scale
- Experience working with AI ML teams
- Experience working with firmware (FW) and hardware (HW) teams
- Experience working with highly distributed, out-of-order data processing
- Experience with scalable, low-latency data pipelines that process millions of daily events
- Experience in architecting and building high impact 0 to 1 software products for customers
- Ability to tackle complex, high-impact problems across the stack working across system boundaries from firmware to front-end to deliver end-to-end customer value
- Partner with product leadership to define and prioritize features that deliver tangible impact, rooted in customer problems
- Experiment and iterate rapidly, guided by feedback from GTM teams and customer engagements
- Learn about the world of physical operations and get hands dirty
