Job Description
A Software Engineer II at Samsara develops and enhances AI-powered safety and fleet management products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable full-stack solutions that improve driver safety and operational efficiency across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deliver full-stack safety coaching products.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) into safety workflows, including designing evaluations and feedback loops to improve insight accuracy.
- Own the operational health and scalability of production systems to support a growing customer base.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of relevant industry experience in software development.
- Strong programming coding fundamentals in a language such as Java, Python, or Golang.
- Knowledge of designing, architecting, developing, and monitoring full-stack applications at scale.
- Familiarity with integrating large language models (LLMs) into products, including running evaluations and creating feedback loops to improve accuracy and usefulness of generated insights.
- Experience using data to investigate issues and make the right call to resolve them.
- Ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver on project milestones with your team.
- Background in web application development using modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
